An oak cladding is a perfect alternative to tropical hardwood, and it is weather resistant. This makes it very suitable for outdoor applications. Oak is the most widely used hardwood species at our company, but is also imported from North America. It has a light/golden brown colour that over time gets a rustic silvery-grey tint. A Belgian quality standard applies to protect the European oak. European oaks are moderately durable to sustainable (class 2/3). This type of wood has a straight thread and moderate to coarse grain. Oak has great workability, both mechanically and manually. It can also adhere, stain and varnish well.
