Bamboo is the best natural and ecological alternative to wood. Bamboo has some properties that make the grass a durable material. Firstly, it is a very fast innovative natural raw material. Giant bamboo grows much faster than the types of wood we are used to, such as oak, pine poplar, and pinewood pine. In the growing season, the giant bamboo grows 30 to 50 centimetres per day, until a length of 15 to 30 meters is reached. An entire production forest is renewed every six years. Secondly, bamboo is harder than most European wood types. That means much more production possibilities, included as a more environmentally friendly replacement for hardwood.
