Façade Lining Afrormosia Domino
For Rietveld Bouwprojecten a double façade lining was installed. The large windows are hidden by afrormosia bars. At the same time, the horizontal bars at the rear façade break with the tendency at the front. In this way, the equally greyed wood finishes off the design of Govaert & Vanhoutte. The challenge was to develop a fixation system that was capable of bearing the weight of the heavy bars and at the same time is resistant to the very harsh coastal climate.
