Hout couture: craftsmanship à la carte
For over eighteen years, Woodstoxx has been inspiring interior designers, architects and contractors with progressive wood design. From residential interiors to prestigious public buildings, every project is defined by sustainability, bespoke solutions and refined craftsmanship.
The Belgian company Woodstoxx specialises in the development, production and installation of high-end wooden flooring, wall and façade cladding. The secret behind its success lies not only in the premium quality of the materials, but also in its integrated approach. Every project is managed by skilled experts from the design phase through to installation. A third of all production consists of custom-made work, carefully tailored to the specific needs of each project.
“Wood brings a warmth and atmosphere that no other material can match.”
— Robbert Desmet, co-founder of Woodstoxx
Aesthetics, sustainability and innovation
Aesthetics and sustainability play an equally important role at Woodstoxx. The company works exclusively with wood from responsibly managed forests, develops solutions that meet the strictest fire safety standards, and pays great attention to ease of maintenance. Its love for the material runs deep. “We see wood not just as a building material, but as a carrier of identity and experience,” Desmet explains. “We’re always pushing the boundaries of what wood can do. From floor to wall, from ceiling to façade — every surface we cover takes on a unique expression.”
After nearly two decades of innovation, Woodstoxx has built an impressive portfolio. Projects for Pairi Daiza, the National Bank of Belgium, the European Parliament, Brouck’R and Greenpeace Brussels all demonstrate the company’s experience and scale. “We’ve also made our mark in the hospitality sector, including projects for Mövenpick,” adds Stephanie Deltour, Business Development Manager at Woodstoxx. “And we collaborate with renowned architects such as Axel Vervoordt and Vincent Van Duysen.”
A network of brands and expertise
Woodstoxx is part of the Highway Group, which also includes three other companies. This structure fosters synergies and knowledge exchange. Belgiqa specialises in bespoke parquet flooring for export, while Unicus focuses on architectural timber construction and decorative applications. The Hub serves as an experience centre where architects can bring together the full materialisation of a project in collaboration with forty design brands.
After establishing locations in West and East Flanders and Antwerp, Woodstoxx took another important step this year with the opening of a new showroom in Brussels. Later this year, the Brussels Hub will follow — a meeting place for architects and project developers. “Brussels is a complex yet fascinating market,” Desmet concludes. “That’s why we’re now fully investing in collaborations with architects and developers in the capital.”
