Last Sunday, we planted one hectare of forest in the Katerbos in Wevelgem together with our employees. With this planting, the total reaches five hectares over the past ten years.
As a wood company, we work every day with a natural resource. That brings responsibility. Forest planting is part of a long-term vision in which sustainable material use is not a separate initiative, but a structural component of how we operate.
Wood is renewable, stores CO₂ and can be reintroduced into new applications. These characteristics make it a relevant material in the transition towards a more circular construction sector. The plantings we have realised over the past years together with employees and clients show that this engagement is not a one-off action, but a deliberate long-term commitment.
With the Katerbos project, we also support a local initiative that strengthens biodiversity and creates additional nature in the region.
