Blackwood or Shou Sugi Ban is a technique for wall and facade cladding that originally comes from Japan. The finish of this product, Naoshima, is obtained by deep-burning the wood. Naoshima does not require maintenance, but we recommend not to use this product in places where the wind has free play. All Blackwood products can be used both indoors and outdoors: as façade and wall cladding/coverings, for fences, in interiors, and for furniture. View our full brochure of Blackwood. Our Blackwood collection carries the DesignX50 LABEL awarded by Design region Kortrijk.
